We have chosen the symbol for equality feminism, and named it after the Goddess Astraea.
The personification of equality and justice, Astraea was the last immortal to live with humans during the Golden Age; a historic period of peace, harmony, and prosperity... A time when sadness didn't exist, and mortals spoke directly with the Gods.
During this age, there was no need for the term "equality" as the notion itself was unimaginable. There was an unspoken regard for both sexes as whole and equal, complementing and honouring one another as two wings on the same bird.
13,000 years ago (during the stone age), earth sat in the Age of Leo, a masculine period of the Lion King. On the opposite end of the zodiac sits Aquarius, a feminine period of healing and balancing while tuning into the higher frequencies of consciousness... this the age we live in now.
The age of Aquarius brings an abundance of healing, comfort, tenderness, sensitivity, and protection. As we begin to honour feminine qualities such as dignity and purity, we begin to create righteous role models to empower the women of our time. Acknowledging of the divine feminine, whom lives in both women AND men, will reestablish balance amongst humankind.
If the timelines are correct, Astraea would have lived through the Golden age, the Stone age, and the Bronze age, eventually leaving earth in heartbroken haste during the Iron age; a period following over a thousand years of upheaval and war on earth, ending in the substitution of matriarchy with patriarchy… officially suppressing the divine feminine.
Astraea is said to have ascended to heaven to become the constellation Virgo, and the Iron age became a time in which people no longer conversed with the Gods, but ignored them altogether.
We on earth have now birthed through the Iron age into the Digital age where information and knowledge is readily accessible, and communication is instant from anywhere in the world. There is now very little reason for ignorance and inequality.
The Age of Aquarius started roughly in the year 2000, Aquarius being sign of revolution and social change. The time has come for innovation and a focus towards people and social justice.
According to legend, Astraea will one day return, ushering in a new Golden Age, when these women and men will appreciate their differences, leaving room to enjoy, admire, and adore one another.
Only then can there be an age of peace on earth.
The time for change is now.
